WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – Makayla Ridgeway, the 2016 Wabash County Festivals Queen will be competing in the Indiana State Festivals Scholarship Pageant this weekend in Indianapolis. One of 21 contestants, Makayla will represent the Wabash Garden Festival.
Makayla on what she’s been doing this year:
Makayla is the daughter of Teresa and the late Gary Ridgeway of Wabash. A 2015 Southwood High School Graduate, Makayla is a sophomore at Purdue University where she is majoring in fashion design. Makayla was also the 2015 Wabash County 4H Queen.
Accompanying Makayla to the pageant in Indianapolis are: State Pageant Director Chris Benson, State and Local Pageant Director Bev Vanderpool and 2012 Wabash County Festivals Queen Jenna Schmidt. Pageant entertainment will be provided by the 2014 Wabash County Festivals and 2015 State Festivals Queen Kaytlyn Eberly.
