Shelly Leifer named “ 2021 Indiana Small and Rural Schools Association Teacher of the Year”

Dr. Lippe, principal at Manchester Jr Sr High School said,

“Shelly Leifer is an amazing educator.

She teaches our business courses and lines up internships for many of our high school students.

She developed a work based learning opportunity called the “Bean” for our students inside our building which serves beverages throughout the day to staff and upper classmen.

I have known Mrs. Liefer as her principal for 6 years. During that time I have observed that Mrs. Leifer radiates passion and a zest for learning that is reflective in the success of her students.

Mrs. Leifer is always researching and employing instructional methods that will intrigue and inspire her students.

Mrs. Leifer productively supports and collaborates with her colleagues offering sound advice which has undoubtedly transformed her instruction and support.

Mrs. Leifer takes the time to build a sense of community in her learning environment.

Mrs. Leifer is a lifelong learner. She proactively seeks out opportunities to enhance her instructional skills. Mrs. Leifer is an exceptional educator that impacts your life like no other.”
