PERU, IN- Here is an update on the theft that took place at the Marathon station on East Main Street in Peru on July 31. Michael Sturgeon was taken into custody Friday morning and booked into the Miami County Jail on a charge of Theft. The female suspect came to the Peru Police Department to give a sworn statement earlier Friday. After being interviewed, Danielle Hartleroad was placed into custody and transported to the Miami County Jail on the charge of Theft. The male suspect contacted Officer Mitchell earlier in the day and did not show up for his interview. The charge of theft will be forwarded to the Miami County Prosecutors Office for a warrant request against Michael Sturgeon.
