This from the Peru Police Department: PERU, IN- Mayor-Elect Miles Hewitt has chosen Dan Sofianos as his Chief of Police, beginning January 1, 2020.
Officer Sofianos is a 26-year veteran of the PPD, and is currently a Lieutenant on day shift patrol. He has also served as a Field Training Officer for newly hired officers.
Congratulations to Lieutenant Dan Sofianos on his promotion.
