The Honeywell House Gourmet Dinner and Chamber Music Series presents its first event in the series on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Pianist Ani Gogova, an innovative classical musician who has captivated audiences around the world for almost two decades will perform a set including pieces from Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Liszt.
Guests are invited to enjoy a multi-course gourmet dining experience followed by an intimate chamber music performance from Gogova. The gourmet dinner menu includes a black-eyed pea salad with Champagne vinaigrette over bibb lettuce; a beef filet with polenta and wild mushrooms au jus with green beans and pine nuts, and crème brûlée for dessert.
Performing most recently at Carnegie Hall, Chicago’s Harris Theatre, Chicago Cultural Center, and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Washington, Gogova has entertained audiences for almost two decades. Some of her concerts have been selected as top recommendations by Time Out Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Tribune and broadcast on NPR, WBEZ, TEDx Talks, and WFMT Chicago. Gogova’s latest album titled “Fantasies, Fairytales, and Nightmares” has gathered critical acclaim for her playing being “quite hypnotic,” “eliciting fine nuances,” “project[ing] a special magic,” and for its “incisive accuracy.” Gogova holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Michigan and has served as a professor at world-renowned Music Conservatory of Roosevelt University in Chicago.
The Honeywell House offers an ideal setting for a variety of artistic, civic, and educational programs ranging from solo recitals and chamber music concerts to lectures and outdoor activities.
