North Manchester Traffic Stop ends in Drug Arrests

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – On Saturday, September 15 around 9:29pm, Sgt. Nate Birch and Plt. Devin Bechtold conducted a routine traffic stop in the area of W. Main and Beckley Streets. Sgt. Birch deployed his K9 partner Strider to do a free air sniff around the vehicle. Strider alerted Sgt. Birch has detected illegal narcotics in the vehicle. David A. Hartman, 54, North Manchester was arrested for possession of paraphernalia. Brett A. Niccum, 23, North Manchester was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

On Sunday, September 16, 2018 around 1:10pm, Sgt. Nate Birch, lt. Isaac Adams and Plt. Devin Bechtold served a search warrant in the 700 block of N. Wayne Street. Tammy J. Walters was cited into Wabash County Superior for possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. North Manchester Police were assisted by Wabash County Sheriff’s Department and the Wabash County Drug Task Force.

Charges are being sent to the Wabash County Prosecutor’s Office for review for all suspects in both incidents.
