North Manchester Resident Dies In Wyoming Car Accident

ALBANY COUNTY,Wyoming – A fatal crash in Laramie, Wyoming, at around 2:30AM Tuesday took the life of a North Manchester resident. 20-year-old Matthew Fahs-Brown was a passenger in a car driven by 20-year-old Richmond, Kentucky, resident Tyler Peters. Along with another passenger, they were in an SUV that went out of control, crashed and rolled on an ice and snow covered bridge deck. The accident occurred on Highway 287 about 13 miles south of Laramie, Wyoming.

Fahs-Brown was not wearing a seatbelt; he was ejected from the car and died at a Wyoming hospital from injuries. The two others in the Suzuki were wearing seatbelts and survived the crash. As for the cause of the accident, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says speed and driver fatigue – not drugs or alcohol – are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash.

Fahs-Brown was a 2015 graduate of Manchester High School and a track star at the school. This summer, he was reportedly working at Yellowstone National Park.
