North Manchester Police Apprehend Armed Thief

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – According to a release from North Manchester Police Department (NMPD), around 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, the department received a call regarding an armed robbery at the Phillips 66 gas station on East Main Street.
The attendant told police that a man allegedly came into the store and battered her, then left after she fought back.
A short time later, NMPD apprehended Ryan W. Blanton, 20, of North Manchester. Blanton is being held at the Wabash County Jail on a 72-hour hold on preliminary charges of attempted robbery and battery, according to the release.
