PERU,Indiana – The City of Peru Common Council met Monday evening. Joe Pandy, the new General Manager of Peru Utilities who took over for the retired Roger Merriman, came to ask the council to approve the water and electric rates. The council approved Pandy’s request. Joe Pandy on what the rates will be.
Rod Richard from the Peru Police Department addressed the council, City Attorney Pat Roberts and Peru Mayor Gabe Greer about a wage increase. Mayor Greer says he’s always willing to set down with city officials about their concerns, as well as benefits and wages. Mayor Greer also said he has open dialog and city employees are a big part of our community.
