MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – First responders in Miami County now have access to more of the overdose-reversing antidote Narcan than ever before after officials received 50 dosages last week from the state’s emergency supply of the drug. The Peru Fire Department requested the kits to replenish the county’s stockpile. Now, the fire department has distributed the kits to the Miami County Sheriff’s Department and volunteer fire departments around the county. A training class on administering the Narcan kits is set for firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency responders on June 8th.
