Motorcycle crash injures Peru man

CASS COUNTY, IN- On Thursday, July 21, 2022, at approximately 4:40pm Cass County Central Dispatch received a call of a single vehicle crash on SR 25 at Old SR 25. Several Deputies from from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash along with the Logansport Police Department, Clymer’s Fire Department, Indiana State Police, and Cass County Emergency Medical Services. Initial scene assessment found a motorcycle had traveled off the roadway and rolled several times.
Preliminary investigation by Deputy Jonathan Ousley found that 68 year old Michael Sexton of Peru, IN had been driving a 2017 Harley Davidson northbound on SR 25 when he drove off the east side of the roadway rolling his motorcycle several times before coming to rest in the side ditch. A Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne with life threatening injuries. 
The crash is still under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 574-753-7800.
