This from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office: MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Central Dispatch and the Miami County Sheriff’s Office have received multiple reports of citizens receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. Thus far, we have been told they claim to be either Sgt. Clark or Sgt. Carter, neither of which do we have at MCSO. The caller is attempting to solicit money in order to avoid a warrant and legal ramifications. THIS IS A SCAM!! No one from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office will ever call and demand money to avoid legal trouble.
