Miami County Responds To Four County Counseling Lawsuit

PERU,Indiana – In a follow-up to a story we told you about a week or so ago regarding a lawsuit against Miami County from Four County Counseling.  Miami County has responded to the suit saying they should not have to pay $182,000 the center is seeking in back payment owed to them from the County.  Miami County says they paid Four County Counseling based on a funding formula required by the state.  Miami County says they did not underpay and that the payments Four County is seeking fall outside the statute of limitations.  Four County says the Miami County is not complying with Indiana code in providing payment for mental health services. It looks like this one will definitely be settled in the court.
