MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Each year, the Miami County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #72 offers a chance for recently graduated Miami County high school students to earn scholarship money as they head off to college. Despite being late in the summer, the FOP is pleased to be able to once again offer this opportunity. While we respect and congratulate all recent graduates, this scholarship is focused on easing the burden of college-bound students needing some extra cash for textbooks, room and board, and other immediate expenses.
The application process opened on July 28, 2021 and all applications are due by August 20, 2021. The FOP will review the applications and award $500 to three winners.
Applications are available online at tinyurl.com/2021fop72 and can also be picked up at the Peru Police Department from 8 am to 4 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. On Wednesday, applications can be picked up from 8 am to 12 pm.
