MIAMI COUNTY – Sunday, August 21st, a disaster exercise coordinated by the Local Emergency Planning Committee in Peru was held in Denver. The training and testing were for local fire departments, law enforcements, and other emergency responders. Kris Marks, Director of the Miami County Emergency Management, said, overall it went well at the Denver incident site. There were some failures, but there always are, because training and exercising is where you learn from your mistakes. However, there are always successes as well.
