MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Miami County Commissioners have changed the posted speed limit for Mexico in Miami County. September 12th, an ordinance was passed by Commissioners Larry West and Josh Francis, which establishes a change of speed limit on Mexico Road between 4th Street and US 31, effective immediately.
“That due to the horizontal alignment, roadway width, and area development, “ the ordinance read, “that the speed limit shall be established at (30) miles an hour on Mexico Road between 4th Street and Eel River Road, and at (45) miles an hour on Mexico Road between Eel River Road and US 31.”
Road signs will be put up by the Miami County Highway Department and the speed limit will take effect immediately.
