MIAMI COUNTY, IN- On February 21st at the request of Indiana State Board of Accounts an investigation was initiated by Detectives of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office into the Miami County Clay Township Trustee’s Office.
Pursuant to that investigation, it was determined that funds were diverted from the Trustee account into personal accounts of Township Trustee Khristie Worl.
The results of the investigation were submitted to the Miami County Prosecutor and a warrant was issued from the Miami Superior Court 2 for Khristie Worl’s arrest on 5 Felony Counts for Corrupt Business Influence, Theft, Fraud and Official Misconduct. Bond is set at $30,000/10% cash.
On March 23rd Ms. Worl turned herself into the Miami County Jail and bonded out without incident.
