WABASH,Indiana – The masked demonstrator was spotted once again on the corner of Cass and Stitt Streets in Wabash on Friday morning, this time in front of Walgreens. Like the day before, he was dressed in a black hoodie and wearing an Anonymous mask and holding a small cardboard sign that said “WAKE UP.” For today’s demonstration, he added another sign underneath which read “stand up — be free.”

MiBash News has a chance to talk to the man to see exactly what he is demonstrating about and how long he plans on standing on the corner. He explained that he is demonstrating — not protesting – against the corrupt government.

He went on to say that he is trying to start a “fill the street” Anonymous campaign and, to that end, he said that he has eight friends who will join him all over town during the morning rush hour in the next few days. The man, who goes by the name of Drew, said he is a local and the others that will join him are local, as well. He added that he will be at different locations in town Monday through Friday from 7:45 until a little before 9 am.

MiBash News asked about the conversation he had with police yesterday on the adjacent corner and the fact that the police seem not to have a problem with what he is doing. “I’m just standing up for our rights as Americans,” he said. As he was standing out in subfreezing temperatures Friday morning, he was waving to the traffic and encouraging big rigs to blow their horns.

It was so cold yesterday when he stood out in front of the CVS, he had ice cycles form at the bottom of his mask but, he said, he still “stood strong . . . for the American people.” He also seemed very dedicated to his demonstration, saying that he will stand out regardless of weather to show others that he is “free.”

The man added that anyone interested in his message should visit the Indiana Anonymous Facebook page. The mask, he said, was not to hide an identity but, instead, to stand as one person in a movement against a corrupt government.
