Marion Police Respond to Shots Fired

On April 16, 2020 at approximately 12:02 am, Marion Police responded to 246 North 500 East, Lot
222 for gunshots fired into their mobile home. Officers arrived and found 3 bullet holes that entered
the residence. Further investigation found that the trailer to the east (Lot 221) of the complainant’s
mobile home had bullet holes that exited from inside the trailer.
Officers went to the trailer (Lot 221) to conduct an investigation. Officers couldn’t get anyone to come
to the door. However, officers could hear moaning noises coming from inside of the trailer. Due to
exigent circumstances officers gained entry to the trailer.
Once inside the trailer officers located Kenny Allison, age 30 (the resident) with an apparent gunshot
wound to the head. Officers located weapons in plain view next to where Allison was located. An
ambulance was requested and Allison who was still breathing and mumbling was transported to
Marion General Hospital and shortly thereafter airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital.
Mr. Allison was reported to be in critical condition due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
