Marion Police Respond to Armed Robbery

On February 6, 2021 at approximately 1:15 am, Marion Police responded to the Flying J, 6255 East
State Road 18 for a robbery in progress.
William Green Jr. (employee) stated he was at the cash register when a black male came in and
displayed a handgun and demanded the money from the cash register. Green complied with the
suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of currency from the register.
Green reported that there may have been two other males involved with the robbery, however, only
one suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect then fled from the store. The
suspect was observed getting into a black SUV that was parked at the gas pump. The SUV traveled
west on SR18.
*** The suspect appears to be a black male, wearing a reddish colored sock hat, a grayish colored
sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black shoes and black gloves. He is also wearing a dark colored mask
on that covers the lower half of his face. This suspect displayed a silver in colored handgun.
