WABASH, Ind. – Steven R. Collins, age 38, was convicted on June 5, 2019, in the Wabash Circuit Court following a two day jury trial. The jury found Mr. Collins guilty of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Level 5 Felony. The case has been set for sentencing on July 15, 2019.
The allegations in the case were that on November 26, 2017, Steven R. Collins engaged in inappropriate fondling or touching with a 14 year old child at his residence located in Liberty Mills, Indiana. The case was investigated by Sheriff Ryan Baker of the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department.
Wabash County Prosecutor William C. Hartley, Jr. represented the State of Indiana and the Defendant was represented by Attorney Elden Stoops of North Manchester and Attorney Katrina Lynn of Wabash.
