BUNKER HILL, IN- In an effort to raise awareness for suicide prevention, the Maconaquah Middle School counseling department will be hosting a family slime run during National Suicide Prevention week.
Last school year, we also named this week “Love Your Life Week” and our school planned special events each day to lift spirits and give every student the opportunity to create fun memories together. In addition to our school-based special events, this year we would like to involve family and community members to join in on the fun.
Our slime run will take place on an outlined path around a nature reserve on our school property totaling a distance of 1 mile. Hot dogs will be provided at the end of the walk/run. All proceeds will go to the Maconaquah Middle School Counseling department to further support student’s mental health needs. Tickets must be purchased at the middle school office using cash or check payable to Maconaquah Middle School.
