BUNKER HILL, Ind. – Maconaquah Elementary School is preparing the commencement of its third consecutive summer reading program. Maconaquah Elementary Librarian Kathy Cade along with fourth grade teacher Julie Bollman started the program three summers ago because they saw a need for kids to continue reading in the summer months and they began offering the program free of charge. This summer’s program is a circus theme called “The Greatest Reading Experience on Earth!” Games, prizes, craft projects, and guest speakers will all align with the circus theme, and there will be a “mini carnival” on the last day of the program, June 29. Days and times of the Maconaquah summer reading program are on Tuesdays in June (6, 13, 20, 27) from 9 – 11 a.m. and Thursdays in June (8, 15, 22, 29) from 4 – 6 p.m.
