WABASH,Indiana – Wabash Mayor Scott Long’s kiosk project is nearing completion at the lower-level parking lot of the Wabash Wasterwater Treatment Plant off Carroll Street. The hole in the center of the kiosk has now been filled with a small color monitor and camera. A bank-like drive-thru box which allows users to transport their bill via a tube into the new billing office inside the Wastewater Treatment Plant some 30 feet away has also been installed.

The subcontractor doing the work for Cincinnati-based Compass Group is C&C Erectors out of New Haven, Kentucky.

Mark Royse of C&C Erectors told MiBash News that the company specializes in banking equipment installation. Royse says that the company work on these types of banking installations every week but this project is nevertheless unique.

A long tube connects the kiosk and the Wastewater treatment plant and Royse says that the tube and the stilts holding up the tube are more than adequate in severe weather.

He was also asked about what happens if the area around the kiosk floods.

Royse noted that most of the work the company does with these types of bank installations is right up against a building under a canopy.

Despite the fact that workers for C&C Erectors have been installing the equipment for a few days at most, Royse said that work on kiosk will likely be completed sometime today. But, he noted, that the personnel move down to the office is not complete, to his knowledge, and so he is not sure how soon the kiosk will actually be up and running for members of the public.
