Jenny Kay Beard. 76, of Peru passed away on August 27, 2016 at her home.
Jenny was born in Peru, IN on March 1, 1940 to Catherine (Wolf) Beard and LaVaughn Beard who preceded her in death.. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings: Loretta Doyle, Roberta Hagan and Robert Beard. Surviving is brother Harry (Judy) Beard of Peru. She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews: Kathy (Steve) Henke, Jamie Doyle, Robert, John (Toni) Hagan, Maureen (Chris) Bishop, Vicki (Chris) Jones, Sheldon, Shannon (Kim) Beard, Cathy Primeano, Steven Beard and Julie (Jerry) Gosch. Three nephews who preceded her in death were Michael Doyle, Shawn Beard and Tomand Daniel Hagan.
Jenny attended Peru High School, graduating in 1958. She was a hairdresser for forty years working with Louise Yentes for a number of years before opening her own shop. She belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greenwood officiating.
