ISP arrest seven in three county saturation patrol

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Friday night, troopers working from the Indiana State Police Peru Post conducted a saturation patrol targeting aggressive and impaired drivers in Miami, Cass, and Howard Counties. 

During the patrol, troopers arrested seven people on a total of twelve criminal charges. Six of those charges were felonies and six were misdemeanors.

Criminal Charges

Felonies:

– Three counts for operating a vehicle while intoxicated

– Two counts for possession of methamphetamine

– Single count for domestic battery 

Misdemeanors:

– Four counts for possession of drug paraphernalia 

– Single count for resisting law enforcement 

– Single count for possession of marijuana

By conducting saturation patrols, Indiana State Police officers hope to deter motorists from driving aggressively or while impaired. Hopefully, this will make traveling on Indiana roadways safer. 

Citizens are encouraged to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911. Give a location, vehicle description, and direction of travel. Do not follow an impaired or aggressive driver.
