MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that bridge maintenance is planned for two bridges in Miami County on or after Monday, March 12, weather permitting. Beginning Monday, motorists may experience shoulder closures and alternating lane restrictions in the following locations: U.S. 24, in both directions, over the Warsaw Trail, between C.R. 30 E and S.R. 19 and S.R. 19, in both directions, over the Wabash River, between S.R. 124 and Canal Street in the City of Peru. Some work may be done with traffic directed by flagger. Drivers should be prepared for stopped traffic in the work zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through an active construction zone. Restrictions on the two Miami County bridges are expected to remain through late April, weather permitting.
