Huntington Man Charged with Murder

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – On Wednesday September 4, 2019 at approximately 7:12 pm, Huntington Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Swan Street in reference to an unresponsive male believed to be deceased.  Upon arrival the male was pronounced dead, at that time the Huntington County Coroner’s Office was notified and made the scene.  

On Thursday September 5, 2019, an autopsy was performed at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center located at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Upon completion of the autopsy the manner of death was ruled a homicide. 

On Friday September 6, 2019, Detectives with the Huntington Police Department interviewed the suspect Robert L. Harman II of Huntington.  Upon the completion of the interview, Mr. Harman was transported to the Huntington County Jail.  Mr. Harman was arrested on the preliminary charges of Murder, a Felony, and Failure to Report a Dead Body, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Detectives are continuing to investigate at this time.
