MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – There are questions and concerns about the proper way to dispose of old mattresses in Miami county. The following is a list of ways to properly dispose of them:
Stop by City Hall to purchase a tag and then the street department will pick up on your next scheduled trash day. Tags are $10 for full size or smaller mattresses and $17 for anything larger.
Or you can cut them apart and bag them as normal trash.
Lastly, you can haul them to the landfill on your own. There are two landfill locations in the surrounding area you can contact.
