Honeywell Foundation Announces New Leadership Roles To Board Of Directors

WABASH,Indiana — The Honeywell Foundation announced the election of Dave Haist as the new chair for the Board of Directors as well as the appointment of two new Directors. Haist is the retired COO of Do It Best Corp and has served on the Honeywell Foundation board since 2006. Haist succeeds Steve Ford who led the Foundation board since 2011. Ford, president of Ford Meter Box Co, will remain on the board and chair the finance committee.
President and CEO Tod Minnich commented, “Steve Ford did an excellent job serving as chairman of the Board, and the Foundation thrived under his leadership. Now with Dave Haist moving into the leadership position, I have the utmost confidence that with his years of experience and rich knowledge of the Honeywell Foundation, he will be equally successful leading the Honeywell Foundation.”
Other changes to the officers include the appointment of Greg Garner as Vice Chair, Sally Krouse as Secretary and Howard Halderman as Treasurer. Newly elected members of the board are Kevin Willour, President and CEO of Beacon Credit Union and Rick Henvey, COO of Parkview Health.
This will be Mr. Willour’s first time serving on the Board of Directors for the Honeywell Foundation. Mr. Willour currently serves as vice chairman of American Share Insurance Board of Directors, and is a member of the Indiana Credit Union League Governmental Affairs Committee, President of Indiana’s Cooperative Financial Association, and a member and past president of the Wabash Kiwanis Club. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1978 and Grace College in 1982 with a degree in accounting. He and wife Cindy have been married for 33 years and reside in Wabash.
Also newly elected is Rick Henvey, Chief Operating Officer for Parkview Health. Mr. Henvey joined Parkview Health in 2006 and currently oversees all hospital, service line and system operations. Parkview Health is a non-profit organization and is the region’s largest employer with over 10,000 co-workers and more than 500 physicians. Mr. Henvey has most recently served as Board Chair for the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center. He and his wife Karyn have been married for 27 years and reside in Fort Wayne. “Kevin and Rick are both natural fits to our governing board and each brings a wealth of knowledge and experience”, commented Chairman Dave Haist.

The Honeywell Foundation seeks to provide artistic, social, cultural and recreational opportunities for all. The Foundation operates the Honeywell Center, Honeywell House, Eagles Theatre, Charley Creek Gardens, the Dr. James Ford Historic Home and the13-24 Drive In. All programs and activities are supported by gifts from individuals, businesses, the Indiana Arts Commission (a state agency) and the National Endowment for the Arts (a federal agency).
