Four Injured in Crash

On 9/10/16, and approximately 8:26 p.m., officers from the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department’s responded to a personal injury accident on America Road, north of 1200 South. The preliminary investigation shows that a 2005 Pontiac driven by Matthew Nose; age: 17, rural Lafontaine, was southbound on America Road at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway on the west side, and struck a tree. Mr. Nose, along with three passengers; Nathan Riggle; age: 16, Wabash, Brandt Reecer-Crabtree; age: 16, Somerset, and Alberto Ortega Jr.; age: 17, rural Amboy, were transported to Parkview Wabash with non- life threatening injuries. Exact injuries are unavailable at this time.

Assisting at the scene were the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, and the Wabash Fire/Rescue.
