Food and Facts for Teens at Wabash County YMCA


WABASH, IN – The Wabash County YMCA is excited to announce a new teen program, Food
& Facts at the Wabash County YMCA.
They invite any teen, 5th grade and up, to the free Food & Facts program. This program takes
place every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Wabash County YMCA which
will include a hot dinner for teens. There will be a different presenter each Tuesday to discuss
topics that pertain to youth.
October 10 – (Presented by Crossroads Bank) Will discuss checking & savings accounts, how to
save money and the importance of it, how to pay for goods, and more.
November 14 – (Presented by Thrivent) Will discuss how to save for college, student loans, the
importance of knowing how much to borrow, and more.
December 12 – (Presented by Crossroads Bank) Will discuss financial literacy for teens. There
will also be a parent class, Parenting Skills 101 by Dr. Beth Trammell, and she will discuss
behavior management, how to create healthy daily routines, and how to effectively communicate
to your child.
January 9 – (Presented by Manchester University) Will discuss how to enroll into college,
programs offered, FASFA enrollment, and more.
