Wabash, IN – Visit Wabash County officials announce a classic tour with a family twist. Tickets for the Family’s St. Trolley’s Day Tour will go on sale online (www.visitwabashcounty.com) and in person (Welcome Center, 221 S Miami St, Wabash) on February 13 at noon.
The Family’s St. Trolley’s Day Tour will take place on Saturday, March 16 from 10 AM to 12 PM and the cost is only $10 per person, thanks to the generosity of our tour sponsor. We recommend ticket holders be at least 5 years old in order to participate in all of the planned activities. Trolley No.85 will pick up and drop off in downtown Wabash at the Welcome Center. Join us for a fun morning exploring the unexpected in Wabash County.
“I always dreamed of incorporating kids into a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Wabash County, by combining a hint of enchantment and magic with historical elements and shenanigans,” said Stephanie Rogers, experiences manager for Visit Wabash County. “The trolley naturally infuses an extra dose of magic into an already festive day. It’s not every day you race dragons and do a potato waddle!”
Leap into your morning by meeting Stephanie at the Welcome Center, home of Trolley No.85, for hot chocolate and a shenanigans-filled day of adventure and history. Hop on board Trolley No.85 and travel to the Wabash County Museum for a scavenger hunt that ends in a pot of gold. Board the trolley and head to the Lagro Community Building for dragon races and other Irish-inspired shenanigans! Next, make a pit stop at Station 1 Firehouse Cafe for an Irish-inspired snack just before you head to Kerr Lock to learn about the impact of the Irish in Lagro. The last stop includes a rare tour of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church before returning to the Welcome Center. This tour is geared towards kids ages 5 and older.
