WABASH,Indiana – Wabash County Clerk Elaine Martin told MiBash News on Wednesday that Douglas-Alan [Dyson] has filed a Writ of Mandamus with the Indiana Supreme Court on Wednesday. Alan [Dyson] requested a change in venue after he says the clerk failed to “identify if the local county circuit court of record judges . . . offices were filled or vacant” and, if they are, to hold a special election to fill those seats. Essentially, Alan [Dyson] apparently wants the election of judges for a common-law court in Wabash County, a court which Martin says does not exist.

By all accounts, Alan [Dyson] has filled a fury of legal documents with the local courts before. Undoubtedly, his legal filings with the Indiana Supreme Court have something to do with IDEM’s proposed order which fines Dyson Brothers Property, LLC, over $18,000 for growing crops last year on the land of the former Celotex property in Lagro. Alan [Dyson] has had recent run-ins with the Wabash County Board of Commissioners who said that they will not file one of his claims with the county’s insurance carrier.

At the last commissioners meeting on Monday, County Attorney Steve Downs called the legal fillings of Alan [Dyson] “gibberish.” Special Judge Chad E. Kukelhan ordered Alan [Dyson] to only place relevant information as to courts and law that actually exist in their filings. Clerk Martin called the non-existent common-law court in Wabash Court a “phantom” court. We’ll see if the Indiana Supreme Court agrees.
