Market welcomes new Market Coordinator, more family-friendly activities in 2022 season
WABASH, Ind. (May 2, 2022)—Downtown Wabash, Inc. is elated to announce the opening of the Downtown Wabash Farmers Market’s 15th season starting on Saturday, May 14. The 2022 Season will run every Saturday from May 14 – Sept. 24 from 8 a.m.-noon in the Honeywell Center/Wabash Elks parking lot on the corner of Cass and Market Streets. The Downtown Wabash Farmers Market is a Downtown Wabash, Inc. program.
“This year, our Farmers Market will be one of the coolest area markets we’ve ever run,” Downtown Wabash, Inc. Downtown Coordinator Carly Hawkins said. “This will be my first year running the market and the plans we have in store for market-goers will make our market the place to be this summer.”
Vendors participating in the 2022 Season will feature handmade, homemade and homegrown items including fresh produce, meats, dairy products, homegoods, plants, arts and artisan wares. Financial assistance programs including SNAP, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Vouchers will be accepted at select vendor booths.
Pets are always welcome at the Downtown Wabash Farmers Market and the campus is tobacco-free. Shoppers are invited to experience additional family-friendly offerings including a kid’s activity hub, live music, food trucks, vendor demonstrations and more.
Vendors are still able to register for the 2022 season. Registration is available in drop-in, half-season and full-season schedules. Drop-in registration is $15 per weekend. Half-season registration is $115 for 10 weeks (May 14 – July 16; July 23 – Sept. 24). Full-season registration is $200 for 20 weeks from May 14 – Sept. 24.
