Don Bruce Emrick, 86, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:48 am, Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Wabash, to Sherman Charles and Thelma (Leach) Emrick.
Don was a 1956 graduate of Somerset High School. He married Violet Bolen at the Treaty Church of Christ on October 2, 1959. Don owned and operated Emrick Brothers Muffler Shop in Wabash. He was a member and former Elder of the Wabash Church of Christ. Don enjoyed fishing, golfing, showing horses, and anything outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Emrick of Wabash; grandsons, Kurtis (Jamie) Copp of Greenfield, Indiana, and William (Jesseca) Copp of London, England; great-grandson, Benjamin Copp of Greenfield; and two brothers, David (Beverly) Emrick and Steve (Ann) Emrick, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Don Scott Emrick, daughter, Kimberly Copp, sister, Virginia Coon, and half brother, Dick Patton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Evangelist David Fincher officiating. Burial will be in Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery, Somerset. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Saturday, at the funeral home.
