Detective Krhin retires

WABASH, IN- Detective John Krhin joined the Wabash City Police Department on January 25, 1999. Officer Krhin attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and graduated in class 00-142. Officer Krhin worked uniform patrol on 2nd and 3rd shift. In March 2013, Officer Krhin was appointed as a detective. During Detective Krhin’s tenure he received extensive training in interviews, photography, cell phone forensics, crime scenes, homicide, child victim cases, and Finding Words which is a specialty training for interviewing children. Detective Krhin worked with various agencies on cold cases as well. Detective Krhin’s last on duty day is June 30, 2023. Detective Krhin will be going to work for the Wabash County Prosecutor’s Office as their investigator starting in August. The Wabash City Police thank Detective Krhin for his service to the citizens of Wabash and wish him the best in his next role as the prosecutor’s investigator.
