PERU,Indiana – Miami County Commissioners met Monday morning. Sandy Chittum from the Miami county Chamber of Commerce came to the board asking permission to do some landscaping around the courthouse. The board approved the project for NIPSCO and the Miami County Chamber of Commerce to make the outside of the courthouse beautiful. Commissioners approved to buy a Loader for the Miami County Highway Department.
Kathy Brehmer from the Miami County YMCA Transit Department explained to the Commissioners that they received a Grant from INDOT worth 80% and raised the other 20% to purchase a Dodge Van that’s got the disability features build in from the factory rather than added on and see how that goes for the Transit Department at the Miami County YMCA.
