Clayton Merlin Dickerson

Clayton Merlin Dickerson, 60, of Fairmount, Indiana, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Clayton was born in Muncie, Indiana on August 17, 1957, son of the late Carl Eugene Dickerson Sr. and Asondra J. (Hoheimer) Dickerson, who survives in Fowlerton. Clayton moved to Kansas City, MO as 17, where he started working at a top restaurant to become a chef. Being a great chef, his boss sent him all over the Eastern United States training chefs and opening new restaurants. He loved fishing and having cookouts with his family.

Along with his mother, Asondra he is surivived by his brother Terry Dickerson, Fairmount, and a special aunt, Louise Peters.

Clayton is preceded in death by his father, brother, Carol Dickerson, and sister, Debra Partee.

Services for Clayton are 2 PM on Monday October 23, 2017, with Leo Moore officiating, at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Visitation is from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help with arrangements.
