City of Peru enters Joint Agreement with Peru Municipal Facilities Corp. and Peru Utilities Service Board

PERU, Ind. – The City of Peru Board of Works met Monday evening. The board approved a resolution that allows the City of Peru to enter into a joint agreement with the Peru Municipal Facilities Corporation and the Peru Utilities Service Board for the purchase and sale of an easement. This would be for a lease agreement with SBA Communications Corporation to rent space on the water tower in the North-West Corridor (near the truck stop) for cell service. The revenue, including a share of the profits generated by the telecom company’s use of the tower will go to the Utilities. The contract duration is for 50 years.
