WABASH,Indiana – MiBash News has learned that Dr. Melissa Brisco, Chief Academic Officer for MSD of Wabash County, is being considered as the new Superintendent at Alexandria Community School Corporation. An employee at that school corporation confirmed via a phone conversation that their board is voting to confirm Dr. Brisco at a special session tonight.
Starting in the 2014 – 2015 school year, Dr. Brisco was named as both the Chief Academic Officer for MSD of Wabash County and Wabash City Schools. On May 16th, Wabash City Schools announced that they were letting Dr. Brisco go as chief academic officer as part of the school’s budget cuts after narrowly losing the school’s referendum on the May 3rd primary ballot.
Meanwhile, the MSD of Wabash County Board of School Trustees will hold a special meeting on today at 5 pm at the school’s administrative building located at 204 N. 300 W.
