Bernadine Marie (Ellet) Ault, 84, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 12:54 p.m. surrounded by her family, friends and loving husband at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mrs. Ault was born on May 28, 1931, to Herman and Mary (Schaefer) Stoltz. Her parents preceded her in death. Her first marriage was to Walter Max Ellet who preceded her in death on August 9, 1982. Her second marriage was to Larry Ault on December 27, 1987. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Early on in her life, Bernadine was employed at the McGuire’s Restaurant. Later she was employed at Triad-Utrad, from where she retired. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN, and the Rosary Sodality. She was a member of Warsaw Chapter of the Goldwing Association, and also a member of the Twin Bridges Square Dance Club in Huntington and the Indiana Square Dance Callers and Cuers Association. Bernadine and her husband Larry shared the love of motorcycle riding and square dancing together.
Surviving are two sons, Steve (Christine) Ellet, LaQuinta, CA, Daryl (Julie) Ellet, South Bend, IN; ten daughters, Bernadette DeVine, Duggar, IN, Nancy (James) Vogel, Peoria, AZ, Debra (Jack) Abbott, Huntington, IN, Maxine (Randy) Decker, Andrews, IN, Theresa Estep, South Whitley, IN, Darlene Johns, Huntington, IN, Judy (Dave) Westness, Pierceton, IN, Lori Patrick, Lexington, KY, Krista (Chip) Ames, Houghton Lake, MI and Sherry (Laurel Pocock) Feltner, Angola, IN. She is also survived by one sister, Rosanna Satterthwaite, Peru, IN: 39 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Along with her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by three brothers; Andrew Stoltz, James Stoltz, Raymond Stoltz; three sisters, Frances Springer, Merita Homier, Phyllis Winkler; and one granddaughter.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Father Ron Reider, OFM Cap presiding.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
