PERU, IN- Announcing auditions for Ole Olsen’s upcoming production of “Little Women” Sunday, July 11th at Peru Depot at 6 pm. Read thru Sunday, July 25th at 6 pm at Peru Depot. The 4 March Sisters (main characters, large parts) Meg: Age 15-25. Meg is the oldest, motherly, refined, vain. Jo: Age 14-24. Jo is next oldest, adventurous, tomboy, hot head. Beth: Age 13-23. Beth is next in line, plays piano, peacemaker, shy. Amy: Age 11-21. The baby, an artist, longs for elegance, pouty.
March Family (medium parts except Father is smaller) Marmee: Age 30-50. The girl’s mother, generous, loving, loyal. Hannah: Any age. Hannah is their cook, looks over family, light hearted. Father: Age 40+. Serving as a chaplain in the Civil War, wise. Aunt March: Age 40+. Father’s sister, wealthy widow, stern.
The Laurence Family (medium parts except Laurie is larger) Mr. Laurence: Age 30+. Neighbor to March family, wealthy, kind. Laurie: Age 17-27. Orphaned grandson to Mr. Laurence, smitten with Jo. John Brooke: 20-40. Laurie’s tutor, friend to Mr. Laurence, marries Meg. Asa: Age 40+ father of a missing soldier that encounters Marmee.
