WABASH COUNTY, IN- Area Five Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. They invite the public to their open house on Wednesday, February 21st from 4:30-5:30.
This event will take place in the Head Start classroom located at 105 Olive Street in Wabash.
At the open house, your family will have the opportunity to see the Head Start classroom, meet the teachers, learn more about the Head Start program, fill out an application, and participate in some board games with your family.
Head start is a free preschool program for children ages 3-5. They accept children regardless of race, gender, color, creed, national origin or special needs. Eligibility for enrollment is based on the child’s age and family income. The curriculum is aligned with Indiana’s Early Learning Development Framework and Indiana Academic Standards. In addition, Head Start offers breakfast and lunch each day, developmental assessments, individualized teaching, opportunities for parents to be involved in the program, resources and support to families, school readiness skills, and so much more.
