Aaron Barker and Friends at Eagles Theatre

WABASH, Ind. – Songwriter Aaron Barker will return to Wabash, performing at the Eagles Theatre on Thurs., Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.  Corporate sponsorship is provided by the following Honeywell Foundation Educational Outreach Partners: Brandt’s Harley Davidson, Duke Energy, Lee Company Inc., Paragon Medical, Mutual Bank, Indiana Arts Commission, NIPSCO, Maple Leaf Farms, Arts Midwest Touring Fund, Art Works, Janet S. Barker will be joined on stage by acclaimed songwriters Marty Dodson whose Facebook page “SongTown USA” is a community for award-winning songwriters, and Mark Nesler, whose song “Just To See You Smile” scored a #1 hit for Tim McGraw. These three talented and connected writers will tell stories about their careers why providing acoustic versions of the songs they’ve penned in this intimate performance on the Eagles stage.

Nominated for the 2016 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Aaron Barker’s career is filled with number one country hits like George Strait’s “Love Without End, Amen” and Lonestar’s “What About Now.” One of his earliest hits was “Christmas Cookies” which was included on the Duck Dynasty Holiday album!

Although not a recording artist himself, Aaron Barker’s voice is heard millions of times a year by millions of people as the writer and singer of many of the radio and television commercials for the Blue Bell Ice Cream Company. These include “Have Yourself A Blue Bell Country Day” and “The Good Ol’ Days”. The current “There’s More Than Just Ice Cream in a Carton of Blue Bell” was also written and performed by Barker. Singer/songwriter and Wabash resident Dakota Parker will be the opening act.
