In past years, the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application has been due in January of the applicants’ senior year, with the selected winner being announced in March. This new expedited timeline will enable the Community Foundation to select the winner by December, which in turn allows the student more time to make his or her college choice.
The Community Foundation will conduct two LECS orientation sessions with county high school seniors and their families in early August. At that time, the application form will become available online at www.cfwabash.org under the Scholarships tab. Incoming Wabash County high school seniors who intend to apply for this scholarship are encouraged to have taken the SAT or ACT exam prior to their application.
