16-Year-Old Sweetser Girl Killed In Hit-And-Run

MARION,Indiana – Marion Police are looking black Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix after they say the car backed into a 16-year-old girl killing her around 5:30 Thursday morning on the 700 block of South Miller Avenue. Sweetser-resident Reamey M. Bell was found unresponsive on the road and pronounced dead at the scene. Teresa Wilkerson, a witness driving by who became involved in the accident, told police that she saw the Grand Am or Grand Prix abruptly back out of a driveway, hit Bell and then her own car, pinning the 16 year old between the two. After the witness’s car was spun around by the impact, the driver backing out of the drive way then drove off heading northbound on South Miller Avenue.

Police say that the black Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix should have damage to the to the rear trunk and bumper areas.
