WABASH COUNTY,Indiana – Metropolitan School District of Wabash County Superintendent Dr. Sandra Weaver announced her retirement effective at the end of the month. Dr. Weaver was the Assistant Superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools before coming to MSD some eight years ago. Weaver said that going to MSD was like “going home” because she was a Whitko Community Schools in Larwill.
Weaver added that the school board has gone through numerous changes in her eight years, with current President Matt Driscoll being the only constant in that time. But she called her time at MSD as “fun.”
The next MSD board meeting is on Tuesday, June 14th, and Dr. Weaver said that the meeting on that date will be equally as important as Wednesday’s meeting where she announced her retirement.
