WARSAW,Indiana – A Warsaw woman is in a Fort Wayne hospital recovering from a gunshot to the neck, and 37-year-old Brandon Bellamy is sitting in the Kosciusko County Jail facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after he allegedly shot the woman Saturday evening. Police were called before 8pm to the woman’s home in the 1100 block of North Detroit Street on reports of the shooting during a domestic dispute. Police were originally told the woman shot herself, but upon investigation it turns out that Bellamy shot the woman during an extended argument. The investigation revealed that Bellamy was intoxicated and that the argument had been going on for some time. Formal charges are expected early this week. The woman is expected to survive.
