Wabash County Sees Another Covid Death Over the Weekend

WARSAW — According to the Indiana Department of Health website, Kosciusko County has 3,602 positive COVID-19 cases, with 38 deaths.

The Whitley County Health Department recently reported an additional COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to eight. The death occurred on Sunday, Nov. 15. Whitley County has 1,034 positive cases.

Wabash County Health Department also recently reported an additional COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 14. The death occurred on Saturday, Nov. 14. Wabash County has 1,141 positive cases.

IDH’s website is also reporting the following COVID-19 case numbers for area schools (these statistics are updated weekly on Mondays and are total reported numbers, not just newly reported cases):

  • Argos Community Junior-Senior High School (Argos) – 10 student cases
  • Bremen Senior High School (Bremen) – 12 student cases
  • Columbia City High School (Columbia City) – 16 student cases
  • Culver Academies (Culver) – 69 student cases; 10 staff cases
  • Edgewood Middle School (Warsaw) – 11 student cases
  • Goshen Middle School (Goshen) – 13 student cases
  • Goshen High School (Goshen) – 32 student cases
  • Laville Junior-Senior High School (Lakeville) – 14 student cases
  • Lincoln Junior High School (Plymouth) – 11 student cases
  • Manchester Junior-Senior High School (North Manchester) – 13 student cases
  • Northfield Junior-Senior High School (Wabash) – 11 student cases
  • NorthWood Middle School (Nappanee) – 25 student cases
  • NorthWood High School (Nappanee) – 40 student cases
  • Plymouth High School (Plymouth) – 23 student cases
  • Warsaw Community High School (Warsaw) – 75 student cases
  • Wawasee High School (Syracuse) – 12 student cases

Statewide, the latest posting on the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 4,686.

The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 256,744. More than 3,569,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.

Locally, Fulton County has 695 positive cases, Marshall County has 2,501 positive cases, Noble County has 2,097 positive cases and Elkhart County has 14,619 positive cases.

In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 23,167 positive cases; Allen County has 14,545 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 14,461 positive cases.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 4,185,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
